The people in Brazil are so gracious and helpful. They all want to be like Americans and even come to America. Before the visas became so hard to get, a big group always came up to spend time at the Spindale church. They are always in trouble with Jane and always being dealt with. That seemed to be the content of the trips (I made two) to Brazil, to straighten them out. I had seen on the WOFF website that one lady minister from the U.S. was down there. This is a way to keep the church tighter and know really what is going on. She is definitely under Jane's wing. She had gotten very sick from a Brazil trip and stayed sick for years. I assume she is doing better and can live there. But, they probably have to go out and buy her special food. Many people viewed these trips as a vacation, because in WOFF you cannot go anywhere. So, to go down there with your new clothes was a real treat. Also, flying with a group all together that is going to "minister" was also great. Still, it was just another church service, more prayer and testimonies. I do not know if they really changed in Brazil or if we were just a nice diversion for them. You could not have conversations with anyone, you had to always be guarded and locked in.
I saw what was really going on and never wanted to go back. I did not want the Brazilians getting off into WOFF land. But, unfortunately, I believe they have.
