Thank you, for the clarification. It would be good to know the reasonings for cutting so much of the story. “What does surprise me though is that other groups use similar practices.” – welcome to the world of mind control practices. The label may change, certain leaders may be more flashy or criminal than others, but, most mind control groups employ the same methods. We have reviewed many other groups on this blog; FLDS, Exclusive Brethren, Tony Alamo, Strong City, NTCC, JW’s as well as others. There are reviews comparing Peoples Temple/Jim Jones to WOFF included here. There is a word search feature near the bottom of the right-hand column that will help you find certain subjects. I’m afraid the NBC program only showed one thread of the story. 98 percent of it remained on the cutting room floor under pressure from Scientology lawyers. They didn’t show, for example, how we are all still Scientologists and that Scientology is undergoing a reformation due to the sheer weight of abuses. They portrayed us as leaving Scientology when in fact we were leaving the Church of Scientology and its abusive practices, its utter control of membership, splitting up of families, “disconnection”, harrassment of critics and the financial rape of its members, ad nauseum. The main problem is we have an utter sociopath running the show.

What does surprise me though is that other groups use similar practices. If I can be of any assistance please let me know.

That just shows how a religious group keeps control of its people. The old separate and divide families to keep them in line. If you cannot keep the whole family, take the children. Raise them up in the was of that “religion” and they will not fall away. It was VERY SCARY watching those videos and you right, it is WOFF all over. Jane must have read up on Scientology to make sure she got it right!

How can there be so many similarities unless the “power source” is the same? There has to be a common denominator. Cult practices are unfathomable except to those of us who have been involved and know firsthand how the intimidation works.
