The rccatalyst.com write up on the event on Saturday said this… “The crowd waited quietly even as they stood divided into two camps…” After I read that, I pondered- What were the two camps? Was it those who were against abuse and those who were for it? No, I am sure that would not be admitted. In a simplified explanation, it was those who had left Word of Faith Fellowship (WOFF) and those who were still there. There was a third camp of concerned citizens who may or may not have been aware of the drama that surrounded them. If the ensuing outburst of flailing arms and shouts at the speaker did not pique their curiosity then, okay. But, there were at least two “camps” and a third group of supporters.
It is the group of WOFF members who attended the event to whom I address this post. Many of you either soon will be or are already of child bearing age. Some were carrying unborn babies at the event. It is to that group this post is focused. In order to make my case, let me share a series of events relayed to me by a former WOFF member concerning a child who attends Word of Faith Christian School (WFCS).
Every time it comes to mind, I ask former members a few questions similar to these: Is the abuse inside getting worse? Are the children involved in abusive behaviors against each other? Every time the answers have been uniform. Yes and Yes. Recently, a survivor conveyed this recount of events told to him by a precious WFCS student. I will not mention names because I contend the names are interchangeable. These events or ones similar are common and repeated frequently.
The adult asks the little boy- Did you have a good day at school?
The little boy says – Well, I manifested.
The adult- Really, tell me what happened?
The little boy- Well, I was day dreaming.
The adult- What happened?
The little boy- My classmates pulled me over the top of my desk, put me on the floor, held me down and screamed at me to repent or I would go to hell. (of course, the little boy repents.)
As I type this I am shaking with anger. What kind of teacher allows this to happen? It was Jane Whaley’s class. Who led the charge? Her grandson, I was told. Did the child deserve this? No. The victim NOR the perpetrators deserve to be in this scenario. I contend it is abuse for Jane to commission her own grandson and other leadership children to be perpetrators of these actions! Those doing the hitting and screaming are victims as well, in this scenario. Is this common inside WFCS? Yes, I am told it is. Now, let me continue. [As my fingers move over the keyboard, I am screaming on the inside- WAKE-UP! While at the same time weeping for the damage already done to so many inside WOFF. ]
It was told to me that Jane’s words to her grandson, “Do whatever it takes to bring that person back into the will of God?” As detailed on this blog before, “whatever it takes” has evolved into abusive behaviors of not only adult on adult, but, child upon child and child upon adult. Some would naturally conclude-adult on child.
Parents and soon to be parents: What makes you think your child will escape the same type of treatment or even worse? What will cause you child to be so spiritual or special to escape the wrath of Jane expressed through her grandson. Have not you, yourself been subject similar events? If never, have you witnessed someone else suffering such trauma? Why, why, why? What kind of delusion pervades over the minds of those having children or those about to have children for them to know about these events and approve of their children being subjected to them OR WORSE! I contend it is the results of years of mind control and information management has hindered the affect to accurately assess the behaviors inside the group. The stark reality of the severity of the abuse inside WOFF exists in a detached third reality for its members. This alternate reality needs to be shattered! This is real abuse- people!
What kind of future is this for the little ones inside that group? Does this give us insight as to why many of the survivors of this group suffer from some type of emotional, spiritual or physical scar that hinders them from quickly or naturally maturing and pressing forward into a full and robust life?
DSS: does the Federal Injunction prohibit you from protecting the little boy who was pulled over the top of his desk and pinned to the floor and screamed at until he repented? If you think so, how do you sleep at night? If you hide behind a “compromise” such as the Injunction; are you not opening your department to another lawsuit purposed to review and revamp or annul this document? How can these types of behaviors continue as protected by “religious freedom?”
Abuse is abuse is abuse… and there is not an excuse. The work to expose the emotional and physical atrocities within WOFF must continue.
And with that, let us remember:
“It is never too late to wake up and leave and reclaim your life!” Steve Hassan

Thank you for sharing…this is so sad and heartbreaking. I hope the local DSS is investigated soon so that whoever is turning a blind eye to what is happening in their own county will be removed and get people in there who will actually do their job to protect those innocent children. I can only imagine the fear those children must live with every day. Freedom of religion, yes. Abuse under the veil of freedom of religion? No.
